Examples of IHC Assays Developed by QualTek
Tissue Heterogeneity
IHC assays showing differential staining of the targets within tissues.
Staining is detected in tumor cells (Tu).
Adjacent lymphocytes (Ly) and benign
bronchiole epithelium (BE) do not label.

Cytoplasmic staining of a target protein (CDC2). Only a subset of tumor cells label.
Some areas of tumor are negative and other
areas are positive.

Differential Staining within Tumor
Tumor Specific Staining
Novel target protein in FFPE ovarian carcinoma metastatic to lymph node. Tumor cells label with strong plasma membrane localization. Lymphocytes in lymph node do not label.

FFPE breast carcinoma. Tumor cells label with strong plasma membrane localization. Stromal cells do not label.
Localization of Novel Targets
IHC assay for an antibody against a novel target for immunotherapy.
Inter-Tumor Variation of Targets
IHC assay showing varied expression in different tumor types.
Membrane Target IHC in FFPE ovarian carcinoma. Tumor cells label with plasma membrane localization. No staining is detected in the stroma.

Membrane Target IHC in FFPE colon carcinoma. Plasma membrane staining is detected in the stroma but not in the tumor.
