QualTek’s scientific staff possesses over 100 years of combined experience in IHC and ISH.  The founders are recognized as industry leaders.  The company and projects are overseen by Ph.D. level scientists with proven experience in antibody and probe development and optimization and reagent development and manufacturing.  QualTek’s scientists have experience in both diagnostic and research applications and strive to reach the highest standards and attain the best results with every project. The “leave no stone unturned” detailed approach that we nurture at QualTek ensures that every sample submitted will yield satisfactory results whenever possible. Finally, QualTek complies with “Good Laboratory Practices” from the beginning to the end of every project to ensure that the project can withstand scientific scrutiny.

Our group specializes in developing optimal protocols for antibody and probe reactivity within cells and tissues.  We have proven success in developing reagents and protocols that provide high signal with minimal background allowing us to attain the highest sensitivity and specificity with every sample.  There are a number of detection kits on the market, for research and clinical use that have been developed and manufactured by the staff at QualTek.

Our laboratories are highly automated. We use the high throughput instrumentation we developed at BioTek Solutions, plus innovative reagents, electronic record keeping and high-speed digital microscopy. These resources have made QualTek a very efficient organization allowing us to successfully complete both large and small projects expeditiously.

QualTek supplements its expert IHC services, a method of visualizing and localizing proteins in paraffin and frozen tissue sections, with bespoke molecular pathology services for genetic biomarker verification and validation that further address the need for integrating clinical medicine with techniques of modern cell biology in disease diagnosis, disease detection and treatment.

Study results are customized and securely reported via the QualTek E-report in an expedited and convenient manner. The QualTek E-report is a confidential and detailed analysis of each target and demonstrative photomicrographs of their reactivity in tissues or other preps. We get to you the answers you need, quickly and in a format that is easy to integrate into your own presentations or reports.

QualTek is a respected provider of contract clinical and pre-clinical immunohistochemical (IHC) diagnostic and research to support academic institutes, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in diverse target areas including human and animal toxicology, oncology, inflammation, neurology and cardiovascular disease and disorders.

The founders of QualTek previously founded BioTek Solutions, Inc. in 1989 a company that designed instrumentation and detection systems to automate immunohistochemistry (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) assays.  These instruments and reagent systems were sold worldwide primarily to clinical pathology laboratories.  BioTek merged with Ventana Medical Systems and the combined company is now publicly traded.  Our time at this company not only provided us with a great deal more experience in IHC and ISH assays, but it made it clear to us that there was a need for our expertise in the research community.  Thus, QualTek was created in 1996 to provide expert IHC and ISH assays and their detailed analyses to researchers within biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
